Utah Terrain

SkierThe Wasatch Mountains of Utah are home to "The Greatest Snow on Earth". A variety of geological and meteorological conditions combine to blanket the Wasatch with an average of 500 inches of snowfall each winter. With most of the mountain peaks above 10,000 feet WPG terrain is definitely in the 'snow-zone'.

At Wasatch Powderbird Guides we seek out the best pockets of this snow from an inventory of over 300 named ski runs. Some of these runs are close to our Snowbird Heliport, others are as far as 20 miles away to the north or south. Our special-use permit allows us to ski an area with more terrain than all of the Utah ski resorts combined.

The location, steepness and vertical drop of each and every run is different. This variety provides us with appropriate run selections for different ability levels of skiers in many snow, and weather conditions. Some days we ski powder on 2,000 vertical foot, North facing powder runs such as Cardiac Bowl and Main Mineral. Other days we ski 3,000 vertical foot, south facing corn snow runs such as Provo Peak and Lama Peak. Every day is different but every day is a guaranteed good time due to the abundant snowfall and the natural variety of terrain of the Wasatch Mountains.

For more information regarding our terrain please feel free to contact us.
